Bridey Rose is originally from New Zealand where she grew up with a family of musicians (mainly Jazz).

She started playing guitar at fifteen years of age as she knew she had a voice but wanted to be able to have control by writing her own songs.

Bridey captivates audiences with her highly passionate sound and feel. Her performance delivers a powerful, soulful voice and sound, with funky upbeat guitar grooves and a folk funk twist.

She has played with many musicians over the years and as New Zealand has quite a large reggae roots scene she came back to that many years later to write some new songs and recorded her first EP in NZ.

It was moving to Australia that really set Bridey up for a music career. She started touring around playing music in small but happening towns such as Airlie Beach.  She then made her way to Darwin where she jumped into the live music scene and successfully created a career for herself.

Bridey believes music is language that we all speak.

In March 2020, as the COVID-19 crisis shuttered all entertainment venues in the NT, Darwin Live offered an online performance venue where local musicians, DJs and comedians could have an opportunity to perform and connect with their audiences both locally and outside the NT.
